Join concerned Oregonians from across the political spectrum as we prepare for the midterm elections. Learn about critical topics such as Health Care, Housing, Education, Affordability, State Economy, Voting Integrity, Public Safety in the age of ICE, and more. Break-out sessions led by informed speakers will examine how current and future federal actions affect the welfare of Oregon families.

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Program

Thursday, January 15, 2025 | 12–2 PM

Dr. Intondi serves as the new Executive Director of Oregon Physicians for Social Responsibility and is a research scholar at Cornell University's Reppy Institute for Peace and Conflict Studies.

A nationally recognized expert on nuclear disarmament and environmental justice, Dr. Intondi is the author of African Americans Against the Bomb and Saving the World from Nuclear War. His presentation will explore how Dr. King's commitment to nonviolence, anti-nuclear activism, and environmental justice connects to today's social movements and the challenges facing marginalized communities.

This was an opportunity to engage with timely issues of racial equity, peace, and environmental stewardship through the lens of Dr. King's enduring vision.This in- person only collaborative event is free and all are welcome to attend! Bring a friend and we hope to see you there!
